Light Remodeling
This is where the homeowner leaves the main fixtures and appliances in their
existing locations and only replaces certain aspects, such as counter tops,
faucets, flooring or re-facing of the cabinetry. This process has many options
and can cost one-quarter the budget of a full kitchen or bathroom remodel.
Building permits are sometimes not required. Check with your city planning
department as a first step. We can offer referral contractors for this work.

main fixtures and/or appliances. The options are endless. City building
departments generally require plans before issuing a building permit. The cost
for such projects (Honolulu Area), start at $35,000 and can reach more than
$75,000 for a kitchen depending on the scope of work. A full bath remodel can
range between $12,000-$30,000.
