2001 - 2004

• Responsible for maintenance and support of websites mentioned above, as well as project managing small business requirement changes and problem reports for the systems.
• Ported intranet infrastructure from Vignette Storyserver platform to Microsoft Sharepoint Portal Server using Windows 2003 (.NET) and Active Directory.
• Manage vendor relationships as well as negotiate vendor contracts for Internet/Intranet, and client server products.
• Procure hardware and software for products and projects I am responsible for.
• Product Lead for several client-server applications, including scanner systems, telecom, and voice recognition products.

• Managed business, contractual and technical issues between operations and the hosting vendor. Recovered $60,000 in a billing error for hosting services.
• Created a virtual team environment for the company’s international webmasters, which permitted instant communications.
• Resolved a Y2K server problem in Hawaii in collaboration with Microsoft.
•  As primary contact, responded 24x7 for system downtimes worldwide. Most problems were resolved within 60 minutes.
• Led the implementation for new and replacement server specifications and configuration.
• Participated with recruitment of technical staff for operations.
• Participated in website design by assuring that operational requirements were met.
• Participated in decommissioning host servers in Hawaii and reinstallation in Florida without interruption of service.

IXL-Los Angeles, Westwood, California                    
1998

• Prepared the requirements specification document covering all aspects of the site development and successfully landed the $2 million development project. The technical requirement specification document became a model for all future proposals.
• Scoped the entire project including requirements, defining functions, designing specifications, managing project development, coordinating hardware and software issues, selecting the host vendor and managing engineers in San Diego and Los Angeles.
• Researched, selected and implemented appropriate software for use in the design of the website (NetPerceptions Group Lens – for collaborative filtering, MS Site Server – for e-commerce, MS SQL – for database, Vignette StoryServer – for web development).

• Created and updated online customer service tools and modified and enhanced the subscription registration and renewal pages for the Oil Change product, using idc/htx in conjunction with SQL stored procedures in MS IIIS 3.0.
• Designed and implemented Oil Change customer tools using Active Server Pages (ASP).
• Integrated CyberCash technology with existing online accounting tools, providing e-commerce capability.
• Provided assistance to the Webmaster for ongoing corporate website development.

The Palace Inc., Westwood, California
1997

• Developed and maintained the corporate website using HTML, Perl, CGI and JavaScript/VBScript. The server environment included DEC Alpha, DEC UNIX OS and Netscape Enterprise 2.0 Server software.
• Reported on website traffic and analysis of usage trends to the CFO. This included analyzing, recommending and employing third-party tools  (Webtrends, NetGenesis) as well as developing customized scripts for specific accounting needs.
• Served as main technical contact with a third-party development firm for the company’s website redesign.
• Managed relationships with a fulfillment house that incorporated electronic commerce into the website.

Platinum Solutions, Inglewood, California
1995 - 1997

• Developed and maintained the corporate website using HTML, Perl, CGI, C and JavaScript/VBScript. Ported web environment from a Pentium 120, FreeBSD OS, NCSA httpd server software environment to a SPARC20, Solaris, Netscape Enterprise Server software environment.
• Developed the corporate Intranet using Perl and C.
• Created user analysis reports for senior management.
• Registered website with various major search engines.
• Consulted with various project groups regarding Internet technology.
• Attended many Internet conferences and seminars.
• Performed regression testing for DEC System V Environment (SVE) UNIX test suite in C.

• Developed a program that interfaced the mouse with a customized DOS application. 
• Calculated ballistic trajectory data using various guns, shells and fuse combinations.
